His Excellency's Vice-Regal Visit to Japan - Day 2
On Tuesday 5th March 2019 in Okayama, His Excellency the Governor continued his working visit to Japan to promote South Australia.
In the morning the Governor met with Mr Kairyu Takahashi, Speaker of the Okayama Prefectural Assembly, and viewed a sitting of the Assembly. After the Governor visited the Korakuen Castle Gardens.
In the afternoon the Governor participated in a function hosted by the SA-Okayama Friendship Association and Okayama Department of Industry.
Afterwards at Soja Minami High School, the Governor addressed students and presented messages from sister schools in South Australia to: Soja Minami High School from Grant High School (Mount Gambier); Takahashi High School from Norwood Morialta High School; and Sozan High School from Sacred Heart College.
The Governor then departed for Kobe where, in the evening, he attended a function hosted by the Australian Consul‑General, Mr David Lawson, with members of the Kobe Japan‑Australia Society.
