On Friday morning, at Government House, the Governor hosted a breakfast to celebrate International Women’s Day, with guest speaker Ms Elizabeth Broderick AO.
Afterwards, at Government House, the Governor participated in a virtual morning tea convened by SheFarmer with rural, regional, and remote students for International Women’s Day.
Later, at the Adelaide Town Hall, the Governor unveiled portraits of Catherine Helen Spence and Mary Lee at the Lord Mayor’s Civic Reception for International Women’s Day.
In the afternoon, at St Peter’s Cathedral, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended the State Funeral for the late Dr Lowitja O’Donoghue AC CBE DSG.
Afterwards, at Botanic Park/Tainmuntilla, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended the WOMADelaide 2024 Welcome Event.
Later, at the Garden of Unearthly Delights, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended a performance of ‘Michael Griffiths: It’s a Sin’, part of the Adelaide Fringe.
In the evening, at the Space Theatre, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended a performance of ‘The Promise’, part of the Adelaide Festival.
During the day, students from Thebarton Senior College’s New Arrival Program toured Government House.
