On Friday morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor received Minister for Foreign Affairs Senator the Honourable Penny Wong and the Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Germany Ms Annalena Baerbock, and their delegations, who then convened the Australia Germany Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.
Later, the Governor, who is patron of The Returned and Services League (RSL) of Australia (SA/NT Branch), received Mr Dave Petersen, President of the Branch.
Afterwards, in the Adelaide Hills, the Governor and Mr Bunten toured the Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens.
Also in the morning, the grounds of Government House were opened to members of the public as part of the “Lunch on the Lawns” program, including a garden tour conducted by The Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide, of which Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons, and a performance by pianist Master Johnathon Wong.
Afterwards, at Mile End, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended the 2024 Santos Wheelchair Rugby National Championship Match between South Australia and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT).
Later, at Government House, the Governor, who is patron of Trojan’s Trek, received Mr Daniel Vincent, Chairperson and Mr Tim Keeffe, Board Director, Trojan’s Trek.
Afterwards, at West Beach, the Governor, as patron of Surf Life Saving South Australia, toured the Surf Life Saving SA West Beach facility, followed by an end of season event.
In the evening, at the Barr Smith Boat House, North Adelaide, the Governor attended the Adelaide University Boat Club’s Whisky Night.
