On Monday morning in Hong Kong, Her Excellency the Governor attended a breakfast roundtable with a number of Hong Kong experts hosted by Ms Elizabeth Ward, Australian Consul-General to Hong Kong and Macau. Guests in attendance included Mr Anthony Cheung Bing-leung, Advisor (Public Administration), The Education University of Hong Kong and former Secretary for Transport and Housing; Ms Tammy Tam Wai-yee, Editor-in-Chief, South China Morning Post; Mr Wang Xiangwei, Editorial Advisor, South China Morning Post and Associate Professor at Hong Kong Baptist University; and Ms Anna Wu Hung-yuk, lawyer and former non-official member of the Executive Council of Hong Kong (2009-2017).
Afterwards, the Governor met with Mr Hing Lam Kam, Executive Director/Deputy Managing Director, CK Hutchison Holdings Ltd.
Later, the Governor, as patron of StudyAdelaide, addressed international education agents and alumni at a StudyAdelaide luncheon hosted by Ms Jane Johnston, Chief Executive, StudyAdelaide.
In the afternoon, the Governor met with Dr Lydia Leung, Chair, Hong Kong Medical and Health Industries Association; Ms Martha Hao, Honorary Chair; and Mr Rupert Mock, Financial Secretary and Board Member.
Later, the Governor met with The Honourable Kenneth Fok Kai-kong, Chairman, Hong Kong Arts Development Council and Ms Winsome Chow, Chief Executive Officer, Hong Kong Arts Development Council.
Afterwards, the Governor, as patron of StudyAdelaide, met with and addressed the parents of school students studying in Adelaide at an event hosted by Ms Jane Johnston, Chief Executive, StudyAdelaide.
In the evening, the Governor hosted a gathering of the Hong Kong Chapter of the South Australia Club International.
