On Friday morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor received Mr Darren Jones, Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Ms Sunny Ahmed, Acting Consul-General of the United Kingdom (Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania), followed by a breakfast.

During the day, the Governor and Mr Bunten opened the grounds of Government House to members of the public to attend garden tours conducted by The Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide, of which the Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons, followed by a lunch time concert on the lawns with music provided by the SA Police Band.

During the afternoon, the Governor spoke by telephone to Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of NSW.

Also during the day, students from the TAFE SA Adult Migrant English Program toured Government House.
