On Friday morning at the Adelaide Convention Centre, His Excellency the Honourable Justice Mark Livesey, as Governor’s Deputy, on behalf of Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Bunten, who are joint patrons of Military and Emergency Services Health Australia, attended the 15th Annual Remembrance Day Breakfast.
Later in the morning Her Excellency the Governor returned to Adelaide on the conclusion of her Vice-Regal visit to Vietnam and Singapore to promote South Australia.
Afterwards at the National War Memorial, the Governor, as patron of The Returned and Services League of Australia (SA/NT Branch), accompanied by Mr Bunten, placed a cross and a wreath the Remembrance Day Service.
Later at Government House, the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.
In the afternoon the Governor and Mr Bunten received Mr Junji Shimada, Consul-General of Japan in Melbourne; Dr Jon Gorvett, Deputy Chief Executive, Department of Premier and Cabinet; Mr Takayuki Inoue, President, Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Adelaide, and Chairman, Osmoflo Holdings; Ms Kyoko Katayama, President, Australia Japan Association of South Australia; and Ms Carolyn Sladden, Director, Diplomatic Relations and Protocol, Department of Premier and Cabinet, followed by a luncheon.
Afterwards at St Peter’s Cathedral, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended the funeral of the late Mr Ian Wall AM.
In the evening at the Adelaide Convention Centre, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended the 2022 South Australian Premier's Food and Beverage Industry Awards Gala Dinner hosted by Food South Australia.
