On Friday morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor received Ms Meredith Burgess, Acting State President, The Returned and Services League of South Australia (SA/NT Branch). The Governor is patron of RSL SA/NT.

Afterwards, at the Adelaide Convention Centre, the Governor attended the annual Australia Day Council of South Australia Australian of the Year Luncheon. The Governor is patron of the Australia Day Council of South Australia.

In the evening, at Adelaide Oval, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Bunten, attended the FIVEaa Best of SA Gala Dinner and took part in an interview with Mr David Penberthy and Mr Will Goodings, Presenters, FIVEaa Breakfast.

During the day, students from Thebarton Senior College toured Government House.
