On Friday morning, Her Excellency the Governor departed Adelaide for an official visit to RAAF Woomera and village, where, at Whyalla Airport, she was met by Wing Commander Melissa Page, Chief of Staff, Air Warfare Centre, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Woomera, and Flying Officer Milano Venter.

Afterwards, at the Woomera Heritage Centre, the Governor met Air Commodore Grant Fifield CSC, Commander, Air Warfare Centre, RAAF Edinburgh, and Mrs Megan Fifield, and Mr Reg Carruthers, Director, Advanced Test and Training Environments, RAAF Edinburgh, and undertook a tour of the Woomera History Museum and Heritage Centre.

Later, at the Woomera Air Movements Terminal, the Governor met members of Boeing Australia and RAAF, viewed the Static Aircraft Display, and was briefed on the Boeing MQ-28 Ghost Bat.

In the afternoon, at Woomera Area School, the Governor met the Principal, Ms Ann O’Sullivan, staff and students, followed by a tour of the school and a briefing, before travelling to Woomera Range E.

Later, at the Woomera Range Control Centre, the Governor met Mr Darren Shorter, Deputy Director, Advanced Test and Training Environments, RAAF Edinburgh, followed by a tour of the Centre.

In the evening, at the ELDO Hotel, Woomera, the Governor attended a community dinner hosted by Air Commodore Fifield.

Also in the morning, at Government House, Mr Bunten hosted a breakfast for Mr Dean Johnson, His Worship the Mayor of the District Council of Kimba; Ms Caroline Phillips, Her Worship the Mayor of the District Council of Karoonda East Murray, and Mr Troy Phillips; Mrs Leonie Kerley, Her Worship the Mayor of the Barunga West Council; Mr Bill Gebhardt, His Worship the Mayor of the Regional Council of Goyder, and Mrs Peggy Gebhardt; and Ms Sue Scarman, Her Worship the Mayor of the Northern Areas Council, and Mr Robert Scarman.

In the afternoon, at the Festival Function Centre, Findon, Mr Bunten presented awards at the annual Meals on Wheels SA Awardee Day. The Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons of Meals on Wheels SA.

During the day, students from Mitcham Primary School toured Government House.
