On Friday morning, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a breakfast for Mr Paul Simmons, Mayor, Coorong District Council, and Ms Wendy Bradshaw; Mrs Lynette Martin OAM, Mayor, City of Mount Gambier, and Mr Colin Martin; Mrs Linley Shine, Mayor, Port Augusta City Council; and Mr Leon Stephens, Mayor, Port Pirie Regional Council, and Mrs Debra Stephens, and farewelled them after their overnight stay at Government House.

Later, at Adelaide Town Hall, Her Excellency the Governor, as patron of the Local Government Association of South Australia, addressed the gathering at the 2024 Local Government Association Conference and Ordinary General Meeting.

Afterwards, at Government House, the Governor received the Honourable Stephen Mullighan MP, Treasurer.

In the evening at the Adelaide Oval, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended the ‘Reach for the Stars Ball – With a Touch of Cabaret’ organised by the Sammy D Foundation, of which the Governor is patron.
