On Friday morning in Adelaide, Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Bunten visited Sarah Constructions and were briefed on operations, as part of a series of visits to industry.
In the afternoon, at Government House, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a luncheon for guest speakers of the 2023 SACE Merit Ceremony. Guests in attendance were Ms Eloise Hall, Co-Founder and Managing Director, Taboo Period Products; Mr Arman Abrahimzadeh OAM, Councillor, City of Adelaide; and Ms Peta Spyrou, Lecturer, University of Adelaide.
Later, at the Drive Adelaide, the Governor and Mr Bunten, as joint patrons of Sport SA, attended the official launch of the Marjorie Jackson-Nelson Centre for Women’s Sport. The Governor joined the Honourable Marjorie Jackson-Nelson AC CVO MBE, 33rd Governor of South Australia (2003-2007) and The Honourable Katrine Hildyard MP, Minister for Recreation, Sport and Racing in officially launching the centre by unveiling a plaque.
