On Friday morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor received His Excellency Dr Siswo Pramono, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Australia, accompanied by Ms Angela Duta Patria, Counsellor for Economic Affairs, Embassy of Indonesia.

Afterwards, at the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander War Memorial, Torrens Parade Ground, Her Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mr Bunten, placed a wreath at the Aboriginal Veterans Commemorative Service, organised by Aboriginal Veterans South Australia, and launched the second edition of the book ‘For Love of Country’ by Mr Ian Smith, Co-Chair, Aboriginal Veterans SA.

In the afternoon, the Governor received His Excellency Mr Wahidullah Waissi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to Australia.

Later, the Governor and Mr Bunten received His Excellency Dr Fahad Obaid Muhamed Altaffag, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Australia, and Mrs Noora Alshehhi; Mr Hamad Alkaabi, Second Secretary and Head of the Political Section, and Mr Mohamed Mahmood, Public Relations Officer, Embassy of the UAE.

In the evening, at Credit Union SA, the Governor officially opened the Hospital School SA – Women’s and Children’s ‘My Art, My SA’ exhibition.

Also in the evening, at Wolf Blass Event Centre, Morphettville, Mr Bunten attended the 2026 Bowls SA Award Night, and presented the Administrator of the Year Award to the recipient. Mr Bunten is patron of Bowls SA.

Later, at Norwood, the Governor attended a combined celebration of Mr Peter Goers’ 70th and Ms Samela Harris’ 80th birthday’s.

During the day, students from Kidman Park Primary School toured Government House.
