On Friday morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a morning tea to mark the 50th Anniversary of the establishment of the Department for Correctional Services Volunteer Unit.

During the day, the Governor and Mr Bunten opened the grounds of Government House to members of the public to attend garden tours conducted by The Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide, of which the Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons, and for Lunch on the Lawns, with music provided by the Adelaide Vocal Union, Golden Grove Primary School and Adelaide Harmony Choir.

In the afternoon, in the grounds of Government House, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Bunten, as joint patrons of StudyAdelaide, addressed the guests at a Christmas Garden Party to farewell international students.

In the evening, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a dinner for their Honorary Aides-de-Camp and their partners. Guests were Lieutenant Lauren Altschwager RAN and Mr Richard Mehbrei; Lieutenant Will Tuckerman RAN and Mrs Billie Tuckerman; Captain Kynan Lang and Sergent Joanna Lang; Captain Neve Robins and Ms Madelyn Zacher; Squadron Leader Naomi Oberscheidt and Ms Caitlin Brady; Lieutenant David Russell and Mrs Linda Russell; Superintendent Darren Fielke and Mrs Karen Fielke; and Detective Chief Inspector Joanne Barnes and Mr James Blandford.
