On Friday morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor received participants from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s Canberra Fellowships Program, followed by a breakfast. Guests were Colonel Tuti Marwati, Head for the Division pf Cooperation Agreements, Indonesian Defence Force International Engagement Centre, Republic of Indonesia; Mr Abdul Razak bin Sharif, Special Officer, Office of the Prime Minister, Malaysia; Ms Corina Reyes, Acting Deputy Undersecretary, Department of Foreign Affairs, Republic of The Philippines; Mr Pitchayadet Osathanon, Director of Border Security, National Security Council, Kingdom of Thailand; and Dr Vu Duy Thanh, Deputy Director-General, Policy Planning Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Socialist Rpeublic of Vietnam.
Afterwards, the Governor received Mrs Catherine McKenna, Chief, and Mrs Christina Cockerill, Secretary, The Royal Caledonian Society of South Australia, of which the Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons.
During the day, the Governor and Mr Bunten opened the grounds of Government House to members of the public to attend garden tours conducted by The Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide, of which the Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons, and for Lunch on the Lawns, with music provided on this occasion by the Pulteney Grammar Senior Drum Corps and Second Wind Ensemble.
In the evening, at the National Wine Centre of Australia, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended the official opening of the Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide Botanical Art Group’s exhibition ‘Framing Nature’. The Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons of the Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide.
Also in the evening, at the National Wine Centre of Australia, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Bunten, addressed the gathering at the Women in Innovation’s 2025 Women in Innovation Awards Ceremony. The Governor is patron of Women in Innovation SA.
