On Monday morning Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Bunten departed for a Vice Regal visit to the Fleurieu Peninsula, where, in Victor Harbor, they met with Dr Moira Jenkins, Mayor, and Ms Karen Rokicinski, Acting Chief Executive Officer, City of Victor Harbor and viewed the Winter Whalefest event: Ngarrindjeri Dreaming with Cedric Varcoe, and visited Granite Island.

In the afternoon the Governor and Mr Bunten visited The Bluff and were briefed on the newly developed master plan, followed by a lunch at Whalers, Encounter Bay and whale watching at Kings Beach Lookout Nakumari Kondoli.

Later the Governor and Mr Bunten met with Mr Simon Rothwell, Mayor, and Ms Kate O’Neill, Acting Chief Executive Officer, District Council of Yankalilla, followed by a tour of the Fleurieu Milk Company and a visit to the Myponga Reservoir including the boat and disability launch areas.

Afterwards the Governor and Mr Bunten met with Mr Karl Telfer at the Carrickalinga Lookout, where they discussed the remediation and upgrade of the Tjilbruke Cairn and surrounding landscape.

In the evening the Governor and Mr Bunten visited The Village Green at Normanville, where they were briefed on redevelopments and projects, followed by dinner at Nino’s of Victor Harbor with members of the Victor Harbor and Yankalilla Councils.
