On Friday morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor received His Excellency Mr Pontus Melander, Ambassador of Sweden.

Later, the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Afterwards, at Government House, the Governor received the Hon Julia Gillard AC and, with her, conducted the third session of the Government House Winter Conversation Series, discussing women’s advancement and leadership.

In the evening, at Elder Hall, the Governor, as patron of the Helpmann Academy, accompanied by Mr Bunten, attended the Helpmann Academy’s ‘A Night of Jazz with Jazzmeia Horn Concert and Award Ceremony’.
