On Thursday morning, Her Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Afterwards, at Hope Valley, Her Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mr Bunten, visited Torrens Valley Christian School for a tour and conversation with the students and staff.

In the afternoon, in Collinswood, the Governor was interviewed by Nikolai Beilharz at the ABC Adelaide Studios.

In the evening, at Government House, the Governor and Mr Bunten held a dinner to thank the Governor’s Deputies. Guests were Dr James Muecke AM, Lieutenant Governor of South Australia and Mrs Mena Muecke OAM; The Honourable Chief Justice Chris Kourakis, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Supreme Court of South Australia; and The Honourable Justice Mark Livesey, President, Court of Appeal, Supreme Court of South Australia.

The grounds of Government House will be open to the public today, as part of the “Lunch on the Lawns” program, including a garden tour conducted by The Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide, of which the Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons, music provided by the City of Adelaide Pipe Band and The Band from the 10th/27th Battalion, the Royal South Australian Regiment.
