On Thursday morning, Her Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council. 

Afterwards, the Governor and Mr Bunten were interviewed by telephone by Ms Jade Woollacott, Content Writer, SALIFE. 

Later, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a morning tea to welcome students and academics from Engineering Aid Australia’s Indigenous Australian Engineering School, at which the Governor presented Certificates of Achievement to students.

Her Excellency the Governor has appointed Dr Richard Harris SC OAM to be Governor’s Deputy from 9:40pm on Thursday, 16 July 2026 until 3:00pm on Tuesday, 4 August 2026.
