On Thursday morning, Her Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.
Afterwards, at Government House, the Governor hosted a ceremony to invest recipients of Australian honours and Meritorious Service Awards announced in the King’s Birthday Honours list of 9 June 2025 with the insignia of their awards.
In the afternoon, the Governor hosted a luncheon for official guests attending the ceremony. At luncheon were Mrs Erma Ranieri PSM, Commissioner for Public Sector Employment; Mr Mark Stratton, Acting Chief Executive, SA Fire and Emergency Services Commission, and Ms Jacqueline Young; Mr Jeff Swann, Chief Officer, SA Metropolitan Fire Service, and Mrs Jane Swann; Mr Brett Loughlin AFSM, Chief Officer, SA Country Fire Service, and Mrs Jessica Loughlin;
Ms Kate Clarke, Executive Director – Critical Operational Services, SA Ambulance Service; Ms Kristy Phelps, Acting Chief Officer, SA State Emergency Service; Mr David Brown PSM, Chief Executive, Department for Correctional Services; Mr Andy McPharlin PSM, President, South Australian Public Service Medal Association, and Mrs Lynda McPharlin; and Mr Andrew Lawson AFSM, President, South Australian Country Fire Service Australian Fire Service Medal Association, and Mrs Julie Lawson.
Later, at the Samstag Museum of Art, the Governor viewed the exhibition ‘Frank Bauer’, followed by the exhibition ‘North Terrace: Worlds in Relief’.
Afterwards, at Government House, the Governor hosted a reception to mark the final year of the University of South Australia.
In the evening, at St Peter’s Cathedral, the Governor attended the ‘Sacred & Profane: Remember’, a performance by the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra.
