On Friday morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Bunten received Mr Miguel Chevalier, Luminary Artist in Residence, and Mrs Renata Sapey Chevalier; Mr Jacopo Baboni Schilingi, Composer; Mr Nicolas Gaudelet Technical Director; and Ms Rachel Azzopardi and Mr Lee Cumberlidge, Co-Founders and Creative Directors, Illuminate Adelaide.

Afterwards, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a morning tea for Illuminate Adelaide artists.

Later, the Governor received Mr Adam Liaw, writer, TV presenter, and chef, and Ms Nicola Palmer, Executive Chef, Watervale Hotel, and afterwards, with them, convened a Government House Winter Conversation on ‘The Future of Food and Dining in South Australia’.

In the evening, the grounds of Government House were opened to the public, and will be until 19 July, to view the illumination of the House entitled “The Origin of the World” by Miguel Chevalier, part of Illuminate Adelaide 2026.

Also in the evening, on North Terrace, the Governor and Mr Bunten, accompanied by Ms Katherine Bunten, viewed Illuminate Adelaide’s City Light Display.

During the day, students from Orroroo Area School toured Government House.
