On Thursday morning, Her Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Afterwards, at Ayers House, the Governor and Mr Bunten met Mrs Millie Nicholls, President of the National Trust of SA Australia; Ms Alice Fitch, Vice-President; and Mr Grant Morgan, and Ms Robyn Wright, Volunteers at Ayers House, and undertook a tour of Ayers House. The Governor is patron of the National Trust of SA.

In the evening, at Government House, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a reception to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Decriminalisation of Homosexuality in South Australia.

The grounds of Government House will be open to the public on Friday, 3 October from noon until 2pm as part of the Lunch on the Lawns program, including a garden tour conducted by The Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide, of which the Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons, and music provided by the Adelaide Wind Orchestra.
