On Thursday morning at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Afterwards at the Allan Scott Auditorium, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Bunten, officially opened the Overland Telegraph Line Sesquicentennial Symposium.

In the afternoon in West Beach, the Governor, as patron of the South Australian Sea Rescue Squadron, accompanied by Mr Bunten, addressed the gathering and presented National Service Medals and Clasps to members.

In the evening at the Adelaide Botanical Gardens, the Governor and Mr Bunten, accompanied by Ms Sophie Bunten, attended Illuminate Adelaide’s ‘Light Cycles’ exhibition.
