On Thursday morning, Her Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Afterwards, as part of their program of school visits, the Governor and Mr Bunten visited Mount Torrens Christian School, and later, Birdwood High School, where they spoke with students and staff.

In the afternoon, the Governor and Mr Bunten rode from Tea Tree Plaza to the City on the O‑Bahn in recognition of its 40^th anniversary.

Afterwards, at Government House, the Governor and Mr Bunten received the Honourable President and Members of the Legislative Council and its officers, to be presented by them with the Address-in-Reply to the Governor’s speech of 5 May opening the current session of Parliament.

Later, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a reception to celebrate the 50^th anniversary of the Firefly Children’s Foundation. The Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons of the Foundation.

In the evening, at the Art Gallery of South Australia (AGSA), the Governor, accompanied by Mr Bunten, addressed the guests at the Diana Ramsey AO Centenary Birthday Dinner, and unveiled a Portrait of Elizabeth I. The Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons of AGSA.
