On Thursday morning, Her Excellency the Governor returned to Adelaide after her official visit to Malaysia.
In the morning, at Government House, the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.
Afterwards, at Lonsdale, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended and gave a speech at the 25th anniversary of the Seeley International Lonsdale Factory celebration.
Later, at the State Library of South Australia, the Governor and Mr Bunten toured the ‘Myriad Exhibition’, part of the South Australian Living Artists (SALA) Festival.
Afterwards, at the South Australian Film Corporation, Glenside, the Governor attended the Chief Executive Women’s Members Roundtable Luncheon.
Later, at Government House, the Governor received Mr John Lonsdale, Chair, Australian Prudential Regulation Authority.
In the evening, at the Hetzel Lecture Theatre, Mr Bunten attended ‘Lines in the Sand’ – a scientific forum on the biogeography of Australia and Asia.
Afterwards, at the Hilton Adelaide, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Bunten, addressed the guests at the 2023 Agricultural Shows Australia National Conference Gala Dinner.
The grounds of Government House will be open to the public on Friday, 1 September from noon until 2:00pm for Lunch on the Lawns, with music provided by the Brighton Secondary School Jazz Combo.
