On Thursday morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor received Ms Carol Henry, Chief Executive Officer, Art Exhibitions Australia.
Afterwards, the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.
Later, the Governor received Ms Rachael Azzopardi and Mr Lee Cumberlidge, Co-Founders of Illuminate Adelaide, and Ms Joon-Yee Kwok, Artistic Director, OzAsia.
Afterwards, at Elder Park, the Governor and Mr Bunten viewed the statue of Dr Lowitja O’Donoghue AC CBE DSG.
Later, at the National Wine Centre of Australia, the Governor officially opened the 2026 Council of Australasian Tribunals National Conference.
In the afternoon, at Government House, the Governor received Dr Kate Kitagawa, Professor, Practice Space Research and Education, La Trobe University; Mr Mark Ramsey, Chief Growth Officer, Southern Launch; Dr Jason Hold, Chief Executive Officer, Sabre Astronautics; Mr Kuba Kabacinski, Chief Executive Officer, Consunet; and Dr Matt Tetlow, Chief Executive Officer, Inovor.
Afterwards, the Governor received Mr Daniel Casement, Chief Executive Officer, Australian Southern Bluefin Tuna Industry Association; Mr Ray Borda, Managing Director, Macro Meats; and Mr Peter Fare, Group Marketing Manager, Sarin Group.
Later, the Governor received Mr Tokuro Furuya, Consul-General of Japan, and afterwards, together with Mr Bunten, hosted a reception to mark the 50th
anniversary of the Basic Treaty of Friendship between Australia and Japan.
In the evening, at the Hotel Grand Chancellor, the Governor officially opened the Gala Dinner in celebration of the 5th anniversary of the Australian POTS Foundation.
