On Thursday morning, His Excellency Dr Richard Harris SC OAM, as Governor’s Deputy, presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the evening, at Government House, the Governor’s Deputy and Mrs Fiona Harris hosted a reception to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Australian Refugee Association.

The grounds of Government House will be open to the public on Friday, 5 September (today) from noon until 2pm as part of the Lunch on the Lawns program, including a garden tour conducted by The Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide, of which the Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons, and music provided by Bumble Bee Brass Band.

During the day, volunteers from the State Library of South Australia; and residents from Alwyndor Aged Care, toured Government House.
