On Thursday morning at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor received Mr Junji Shimada, Consul-General of Japan in Melbourne, and Ms Laura Hughes, Research Analyst, Political and Economic Section, Consulate-General of Japan in Melbourne, followed by breakfast.

Afterwards the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon the Governor, as patron of the General Sir John Monash Foundation received Ms Annemarie Rolls, Chief Executive Officer, General Sir John Monash Foundation, and Foundation Scholars, Dr Olivia Oliver-Thorne, Chief Operating Officer,Tonkin Consuting; Dr James Daniell, Natural Hazards Risk Engineer, Karlsruhe Institute; World Bank and Chief Executive Officer, Risklayer GmbH, Consulting; Dr Amy McLennan, Educational Experiences Lead, School of Cybernetics, Australian National University; Dr Ashley Kingsborough, Principal Policy Officer, Water and Climate Change, Department for the Environment, Water and Natural Resources, South Australia; Ms Laura Diment, Postdoctoral Researcher, University of Southampton; Ms Alies Sluiter, Director, Picture Box Productions; and Mr Alexander Makarowsky, Algorithm Developer, Energy Exemplar, followed by a luncheon.

Also, in the afternoon at Parliament House, Mr Bunten attended a luncheon hosted by The Honourable Terry Stephens MLC, President of the Legislative Council.

In the evening at Government House, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a reception to recognise the achievements of the 2022 AmCham Global Leadership Academy.

Afterwards at Adelaide Oval, the Governor, as patron of South Australian Cricket Association, and Mr Bunten, attended the 2nd NRMA Test Match.
