On Thursday morning, Her Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Afterwards, at Tonsley, the Governor and Mr Bunten visited the Department for Energy and Mining’s South Australia Drill Core Library.

Later, at Rydges South Park, the Governor addressed the guests at the Friends of AFS In Australia Reunion Luncheon. The Governor is a former AFS participant.

In the afternoon, at the Adelaide Showground, the Governor and Mr Bunten selected the winner of the Patrons’ Award for the 2026 SA Quilters’ Festival of Quilts and, and, in the evening, presented it and other awards and officially opened the Studio Art Quilt Associates “Plus ONE” Exhibition. The Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons of SA Quilters.

Also in the afternoon, at the Adelaide Festival Theatre, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended the opening of the defi-Nations, and OUR MOB and OUR YOUNG MOB exhibitions.

Also in the evening, at the Art Gallery of South Australia (AGSA), the Governor and Mr Bunten attended the opening of the ‘Monet to Matisse: Defying Tradition’ exhibition. The Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons of AGSA.
