On Tuesday morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor received Mr Matt Opie.
Also in the morning, Mr Bunten undertook voluntary work with Meals on Wheels.
In the afternoon, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a luncheon at which guests were: Ms Taimi Allan, Mental Health Commissioner for South Australia; Mr Diarmid Lee, Presiding Member, SACE Board of South Australia; Mr Matthew Camerlengo, Program Leader – Safeguarding Democracy through Public Education, Curriculum and Learning, Department for Education; Ms Lisa-Jane O’Connor, Chief Executive, Educators SA; Ms Kirsty Amos, Chief Executive, South Australian Secondary Principals’ Association; Ms Anne Dunstan, Chief Executive, Association of Independent Schools of SA; Mr Noel Hender OAM BEM, Chair, Order of Australia Association of South Australia; Ms Jan Chorley, Chief Executive Officer, Australia Day Council of South Australia; Mr Chris Riemann, Principal, Playford College; Mr Callum McIntyre, 2025 Student Citizen of the Year, Order of Australia Association of South Australia; Ms Grace Leonello, 2025 Governor’s Civics Awards for Schools participant, and 2026 Civics and Citizenship Roundtable Discussion participant, Thomas More College (Class of 2025); and Ms Katie Ngo, 2025 Governor’s Civics Awards for Schools participant, and 2026 Civics and Citizenship Roundtable Discussion participant, Glenunga International High School.
Afterwards, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a reception for members of the YMCA South Australia’s 31th Youth Parliament. The Governor is patron of YMCA SA.
