On Tuesday morning at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor received Mr Peter McVann, President, and Mr Neville Mead, Honorary Secretary, The Carbine Club of South Australia.

Later the Governor received Mr Peter Kaye AM ESM, National Chief Executive Officer, The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award – Australia, and Mr David Sanders, Chair, Duke of Edinburgh's International Award - South Australia, of which the Governor is patron.

In the afternoon the Governor received the Honourable Mike Rann AO and Ms Sasha Carruozzo, followed by a luncheon.

In the evening, as part of the Governor’s Civic Awards for Schools program, the Governor officially opened, by video link, the Civics and Citizenship Training Course for Teachers.

Later the Governor received Her Excellency Ms Margaret Twomey AM, Australian Ambassador to Italy, followed by a dinner.
