On Tuesday morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor received Mr Matt Schultz MP, Member for Kavel.

Afterwards, the Governor held a virtual meeting with Mr Andrew Shearer, Australian Ambassador-Designate to Japan.

Also in the morning, Mr Bunten undertook voluntary work with Meals on Wheels.

Later, the Governor hosted a morning tea for visiting Indonesian trade officials undertaking a short course at Adelaide University under the auspices of a DFAT‑sponsored Trade Policy Program through Australia Awards Indonesia.

In the afternoon, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a luncheon at which the guests were: The Honourable Katrine Hildyard MP, Minister for Human Services, Minister for Seniors and Ageing Well, Minister for Women; The Honourable Michelle Lensink MLC, Shadow Minister for Human Services, Shadow Minister for Women, Shadow Minister for Seniors and Ageing Well, Shadow Minister for Multicultural Affairs; Ms Jodeen Carney, Commissioner for Equal Opportunity, Equal Opportunity SA; Ms Hannah Wandel OAM, Chief Executive, SAFECOM; Ms Fiona Dorman, President, National Council of Women Australia, and Chair, Premier’s Council for Women; Ms Jane Pickering, Chair, SA Leaders for Gender Equity (SA LGE), and Chief Executive, Eldercare; Mr Darren Chandler, Member, SA LGE, and Chief Executive Officer, SANFL; Ms Robyn Verrall, Member, SA LGE, Director, Bully’s Meats; and Ms Caroline Rhodes, Chief Executive Officer, Primary Producers SA. The Governor is patron in chief of National Council of Women of South Australia, and patron of the SANFL.

Afterwards, the Governor received Ms Jane Johnston, Chief Executive, StudyAdelaide; Professor Romy Lawson, Senior Deputy Vice Chancellor, Flinders University; Ms Victoria Bick, Executive Director, Global Partnerships & Strategy, Adelaide University; and Mr Simon Futo, SA Delegate, English Australia. The Governor is patron of StudyAdelaide.

Later, the Governor held a virtual meeting with His Excellency Mr Roderick Brazier, Australian Ambassador to Indonesia.

Afterwards, the Governor and Mr Bunten received the Honourable Speaker and Members of the House of Assembly and its officers, to be presented by them with the Address-in-Reply to Her Excellency the Governor’s speech of 5 May opening the current session of Parliament.

In the evening, at Elder Hall, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended the Attend the 2026 Hugh Stretton Oration.
