On Tuesday morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor received The Honourable Peter Malinauskas MP, Premier of South Australia.

Also in the morning, Mr Bunten undertook voluntary work for Meals on Wheels.

In the afternoon, the Governor, who is Chair of the Rhodes Scholarship Selection Committee for South Australia, hosted a luncheon for the 2026 Rhodes Scholarship Selection Committee and candidates. Guests were Dr Sarah Kelly, Deputy Chair, Rhodes Scholar and Director, Support and Inclusion Reform, Department for Education; Emeritus Professor Nicholas Jose, Committee Member, Rhodes Scholar and Emeritus Professor; Dr Mahesh Umapathysivam, Committee Member, Rhodes Scholar and Endocrinologist at Flinders Medical Centre and Royal Adelaide Hospital; Professor Helen Marshall AM, Committee Member, Rhodes Scholarship Selection, South Australia, and Clinical Research Director and Professor of Vaccinology Women's and Children's Hospital; Professor John Williams AM, State Secretary, Rhodes Scholarships for South Australia, and Provost, The University of Adelaide; Professor Merlin Crossley AM, Deputy National Secretary, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic Quality, UNSW; and Candidates Dr Sahil Kharwadkar, Dr Sophie Ludbrook, Ms Jessica March, and Miss Anjana Prabu.

Afterwards, at the Adelaide Town Hall, the Governor addressed the guests and presented awards at the Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Awards Ceremony. The Governor is patron of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award – South Australia.

Later, at Government House, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a reception to celebrate the Australian String Quartet’s 40th anniversary.

In the evening, the Governor spoke by telephone to His Excellency the Honourable Chris Dawson AC APM, Governor of Western Australia.
