On Wednesday morning, at Woodville North, Mr Bunten visited Ngutu College, where he toured the school, spoke to staff and students, and attended a morning tea.
In the afternoon, at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor received Her Excellency Ms Yasoja Kusalini Gunasekera, High Commissioner of Sri Lanka, followed by a luncheon.
Afterwards, the Governor received, from Woodcroft Primary School, Mrs Carol Williams, Principal; Ms Kim Davis, Administration Manager; and Charter for Children and Young People Ambassadors Miss Audrey Haynes, Master Logan Bliss, Miss Abby McDade, Miss Halle Day, Master Masroor Ahmed, Master Aiman Nadeem Aslam and Miss Siri Batchu, and was interviewed by the students. The Governor is patron of South Australia’s Charter for Children and Young People.
Afterwards, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a reception to thank volunteers of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals SA (RSPCA). The Governor is patron of the RSPCA SA.
In the evening, the Governor and Mr Bunten received Ms Anastasia Bougesis, Manager 2IC, Disaster Relief and Recovery Team South Australia, and Mr Randal Tomich, Chief Executive Officer, Tomich Wines, followed by a dinner.
