On Friday morning, at Bordertown High School, Her Excellency the Governor met Ms Chantelle Lucas and Ms Lauren Kirk, Assistant Principals, toured the school and met students and staff.
Afterwards, at the Bordertown Ladies Probus Club, the Governor attended a morning tea with members to celebrate 50 years of Probus in Australia, before departing for Wolseley.
Later, at Wolseley, the Governor, accompanied by Ms Liz Goossens, Mayor of Tatiara District Council, toured the Bunge grain site and was briefed on operations by Mr Phil Sherwood, Operations Supervisor.
Later again, in Bordertown, the Governor visited the Good Country Op Shop, where she was briefed by Ms Sarah Hamilton, President, and Ms Nat Brown, Secretary; and The Hive @ Bordertown, where she was briefed by Ms Margaret Diment and Ms Helen Lutt.
In the afternoon, the Governor visited the Bordertown Industrial Estate, where, at Good Country Hemp, she toured the facility and was briefed on operations by proprietors Mr Mick and Mrs Linda Anderson, before departing for Cannawigara.
Afterwards, at Cannawigara, the Governor visited the Michael Hunt Working Farm ‘Innisfallen’, where she toured the farm and participated in crop seeding and animal feeding with Mr Michale Hunt, Mrs Sammy Hunt and Mister Josh Hunt, before departing for Poocher Swamp, where she was briefed on the aquafer recharge site.
Afterwards, at the Bordertown Council Office, the Governor toured the Cinema, the Bob Hawke Gallery, and the Walkway Gallery, before attending an afternoon tea with Council representatives and community members, after which she departed for Mount Gambier.
In the evening, at OB Flat, the Governor attended the 2026 Generations in Jazz event.
Afterwards, at The Steakhouse, the Governor attended a dinner with Mrs Lynette Martin, Mayor, City of Mount Gambier, and Mr Colin Martin, and Mrs Kylie Boston, Deputy Chair, Generations in Jazz Board and Mayor, Grant District Council, and Mr Garry Boston.
During the day, the Governor and Mr Bunten opened the grounds of Government House to members of the public to attend garden tours conducted by The Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide, of which the Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons, followed by a lunch time concert on the lawns with music provided by the Unley Concert Band and Adelaide Morris Men.
