On Friday morning, Her Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Afterwards, at Government House, the Governor and Mr Bunten, as joint patrons of Carers SA, hosted a morning tea for Young Carers.

Later, the Governor and Mr Bunten received a briefing from State Government officials on recovery for the inland flooding events that occurred in the far north earlier this year.

In the afternoon, at the Adelaide Showground, the Governor, as patron of the Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Society of South Australia, presented awards at the Wine Communicators of Australia – 2025 Royal Adelaide Wine Show Luncheon.

Also in the afternoon, at the Enfield Community Centre, Mr Bunten, as patron of the Orchid Club of South Australia, attended the monthly meeting and participated in the Orchid Workshop.

In the evening, at the Adelaide Botanic Gardens, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Bunten, addressed the gathering at the State Opera of South Australia’s Golden Jubilee Gala Dinner. The Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons of the State Opera.

Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Bunten will open Government House and its grounds from 10am to 2pm for an Open Day, in conjunction with the 2025 SA Nature Festival.
