On Friday morning, at the Adelaide Showgrounds, Her Excellency the Governor officially opened the 2026 Lions Australia National Convention. The Governor is an Honorary Member of the Lions Club of the City of Adelaide Inc.

On Sunday, 24 May, Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Bunten will open Government House and its grounds from 10am to 2pm for an Open Day, in conjunction with the 2026 History Festival SA.
