On Friday morning, at the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander War Memorial, Torrens Parade Ground, Her Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Mr Bunten, placed a wreath at the Aboriginal Veterans Commemorative Service, organised by Aboriginal Veterans South Australia.
Afterwards, at the National Wine Centre of Australia, the Governor addressed the guests at The Honourable Margaret Nyland AM Long Lunch 2025, jointly hosted by the Law Society of South Australia and the Women Lawyers’ Association of South Australia.
In the afternoon, Mr Bunten hosted a lunch with Uncle Mickey Kumatpi O’Brien, Senior Kaurna Man.
Also in the afternoon, at Netball SA Stadium, Mile End, Mr Bunten attended the 2025 Santos Wheelchair Rugby World Challenge – South Australia vs Queensland match.
Afterwards, at Government House, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a reception to celebrate the Australian Chamber Orchestra’s 50th anniversary.
In the evening, at the Royal South Australian Society of Arts (RSASA) Gallery, State Library, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended the VIP reception for the exhibition of ‘James Ashton, Artist of the Fleurieu Coast’. The Governor is patron of RSASA.
Later, at the Morphettville Racecourse, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended the Bowls SA Awards Night and Mr Bunten, as patron of Bowls SA, presented the Community Spirit Recognition Award.
