On Friday morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor received The Honourable Blair Boyer MP, Minister for Education, Training and Skills.

Afterwards, the Governor hosted a morning tea to celebrate 80 years of The Children’s Book Council of Australia – South Australia Branch. The Governor and Mr Bunten are Patrons-in-Chief of the Book Council.

Later, at Palace Nova Eastend, the Governor, accompanied by Ms Alison Jupp, attended Monsieur Aznavour, part of the 2025 Alliance Française French Film Festival.

During the day, the Governor and Mr Bunten opened the grounds of Government House to members of the public to attend a garden tour conducted by The Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide, of which the Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons, and to have Lunch on the Lawns, with music provided on this occasion by The City of Adelaide Concert Band.
