On Friday morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor hosted a breakfast to celebrate International Women’s Day, with guest speaker Ms Sally Sara AM.

Afterwards, the Governor received Ms Nicola Palmer, General Manager, Watervale Hotel.

Later, the Governor received the Honourable Stephen Smith and Ms Jane Seymour, followed by a morning tea.

In the afternoon, at the Adelaide Convention Centre, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended the South Australian Business Chamber’s International Women’s Day 2026 Luncheon.

In the evening, at the Adelaide Festival Centre, the Governor and Mr Bunten, accompanied by the Honourable Christine Adamson, attended a performance of ‘Mary Said What She Said’, part of Adelaide Festival.

During the day, the Governor and Mr Bunten opened the grounds of Government House to members of the public to attend a garden tour conducted by The Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide, of which the Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons, and to have Lunch on the Lawns, with music provided on this occasion by the City of Holdfast Bay Concert Band.
