On Thursday morning, as part of their program of school visits, Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Bunten visited Bowden Brompton Community School where they spoke to students and staff.

Afterwards, at the Adelaide Festival Centre, the Governor, who is Chief Patron of the Australian Migrant Resource Centre (AMRC), officially opened the AMRC International Women’s Day Form 2026 ‘One Community, Many Strengths’.

In the afternoon, at the ABC Studio Collinswood, the Governor was interviewed by Mr Troy Sincock, Reporter, ABC Adelaide.

Later, at Karen Rolton Oval, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended the 2025/2026 Sheffield Shield Match South Australia v New South Wales. The Governor is patron of the South Australian Cricket Association.

In the evening, at Government House, the Governor and Mr Bunten, accompanied by The Honourable Christine Adamson, received Ms Sally Sara AM, Journalist, and Mrs Helen Sara, followed by a dinner.

During the day, students from Clovelly Park Primary School toured Government House.

The grounds of Government House will be open to the public on Friday, 6 March from noon until 2pm as part of the Lunch on the Lawns program, including a garden tour conducted by The Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide, of which the Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons, and music provided by the City of Holdfast Bay Concert Band.
