On Friday morning at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor hosted a morning tea for the recipients of the International Women’s Day SA Awards for 2023. Guests in attendance included Ms Tass Schmidt, President, International Women’s Day Association SA Inc; Ms Sue Dyer, Committee Member, International Women’s Day Association SA Inc; Ms Ayesha Fariha Safdar, Irene Bell Award Recipient; Associate Professor Natalie Harkin, Irene Bell Award Recipient, The Unbound Collective; Professor Simone Ulalka Tur, Irene Bell Award Recipient, The Unbound Collective; Ms Teresita Sarmiento, Irene Krastev Award Recipient; Miss Armani Masters, Young Women’s Community and Spirit Award Recipient, and Ms Maria Jocelyn Goodridge; and Dr Collette Snowden, Barbara Polkington Award Recipient.

In the afternoon, at the University of Adelaide, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended a performance of ‘Vital Blossoms’ by the Elder Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra.

Later, at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital, the Governor presented Master Joseph Burgess with a Lions Children of Courage Award.

Afterwards at Government House, Mr Bunten was interviewed for the Department of Education’s ‘Teach Podcast’.
