On Thursday Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Bunten continued their official Vice-Regal visit to the United Kingdom and Japan to promote South Australia.
In the morning in Kurashiki City, the Governor and Mr Bunten met with Mr Takeshi Asahina, Deputy Director, West Japan Steelworks Managing Office, Kurashiki area; Mr Daisuke Takahashi, Director, Planning Department; Mr Hisahiro Matsunaga, Chief, General Affairs; and Mr Minoru Shioda, General Affairs Manager, West Japan Steelworks Managing Office, Kurashiki area.
Afterwards the Governor and Mr Bunten visited the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter.
In the afternoon in Okayama, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended a lunch hosted by His Excellency Mr Ryuta Ibaragi, Governor of Okayama Prefecture.
Afterwards the Governor and Mr Bunten met with Professor Kazumi Kuwahara, President, Shujitsu University.
In the evening the Governor and Mr Bunten departed Tokyo on the conclusion of their Vice-Regal visit.
In the morning at Government House, Adelaide, His Excellency The Honourable Chief Justice Christopher Kourakis, as Governor’s Deputy, presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.
During the day students from Heathfield Primary School toured the grounds of Government House.
