On Thursday morning, Her Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Afterwards, at Government House, the Governor received Ms Kate Gould, Chief Executive Officer, Adelaide Festival Centre.

In the afternoon, Mr Bunten hosted a luncheon with patronage organisations. Guests were Mr Tim Dodds, President, Bowls SA; Mr David Egarr, President, Adelaide Male Voice Choir Incorporated; Mr Alan Jabs, President, Orchid Club of South Australia Incorporated; Mr Julian McNeil, Chairperson, The Veteran Car Club of South Australia; Ms Irene Rowe, Chairperson, The Community Language Schools; Dr Scott Pedler, Deputy Chairperson, Australian Lions Hearing Dogs; Mr David Searles, President, The Travellers' Aid Society in South Australia Incorporated; Mr Dave Smith, President, Adelaide Harmony Choir Incorporated; Mr Alun Thomas, President, Scientific Expedition Group Incorporated; and Group Captain (Retd) Dr Christopher Verco RFD KSJ, Co-Convenor, The Cook Society - South Australia.

Afterwards, at the Adelaide Showground, the Governor and Mr Bunten, as joint patrons of the Quilters’ Guild of South Australia, attended the Festival of Quilts 2025, and together chose the winner of the 'Patron's Award'.

Later, at Government House, the Governor hosted an afternoon tea to officially launch the Guardian Girls Karate Programme.
