On Thursday morning, Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Bunten continued their official visit to the District Council of Mount Remarkable, the Flinders Ranges Council, and the Outback Communities Authority, where, at Leigh Creek Area School, they met Ms Kathryn Harrison, Principal, Leigh Creek Area School, and Mr Noel Wilton, Adnyamathanha Elder, observed a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony shared by local Elders, and afterwards met staff, before departing for Innamincka.

In the afternoon, at Innamincka, the Governor and Mr Bunten met Mr Leon Cartledge and Ms Michelle Hoffmann, Managers, Innamincka Hotel, followed by a driving tour of Innamincka.

Afterwards, at the Innamincka Hotel, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended a luncheon with members of the Innamincka Progress Association, before departing for Leigh Creek.

In the evening, at the Leigh Creek Outback Resort Restaurant, the Governor and Mr Bunten met Mrs Jan Ferguson OAM, Presiding Member, Outback Communities Authority (OCA), followed by dinner with members of the OCA.

In the morning, at Government House, His Excellency The Honourable Chief Justice Christopher Kourakis, as Governor’s Deputy, presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.
