On Thursday morning, Her Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Afterwards, at Government House, the Governor spoke by telephone to Right Reverend Sophie Relf-Christopher, Assistant Bishop, Anglican Diocese of Adelaide, before departing for Canberra. 

In the evening, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor and Mr Bunten were guests of honour at a dinner hosted by Her Excellency the Honourable Samantha Mostyn AC, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, to acknowledge the Governor and Mr Bunten’s five years of service to South Australia. 

Her Excellency the Governor has appointed The Honourable Justice Mark Livesey to be Governor’s Deputy from 11.15am on Thursday, 20 August 2026 until 10.30am on Friday, 21 August 2026.
