In the morning, at the National War Memorial, Adelaide, His Excellency Dr Richard Harris SC OAM, as Governor’s Deputy, and Mrs Fiona Harris, placed a wreath at the Anzac Day Dawn Service.

Meanwhile, in Beijing, Her Excellency the Governor read The Dedication at an Anzac Day Dawn Service jointly organised by the Australian and New Zealand Embassies.

Afterwards, at Torrens Parade Ground, the Governor’s Deputy and Mrs Fiona Harris attended a commemorative event at the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander War Memorial.

Later the Governor’s Deputy, accompanied by Mrs Fiona Harris, received the salute at the Anzac Day Commemorative March and afterwards, placed a wreath at the Anzac Day Service of Remembrance at The Cross of Sacrifice, Pennington Gardens, North Adelaide.

In the afternoon at Government House, the Governor’s Deputy and Mrs Fiona Harris hosted a reception for Service representatives and others associated with the Anzac Day commemorations.

Also in the morning, Mr Bunten placed a wreath at the Anzac Day Dawn Service, attended a commemorative event at the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander War Memorial, and placed a wreath at the Anzac Day Service of Remembrance.

Later in the morning, in Beijing, the Governor was interviewed by Xinhua News Agency.

Afterwards, the Governor met with Mr Liu Jianchao, Minister, International Department of the Chinese Communist Party.

In the afternoon, the Governor attended a luncheon with South Australian Alumni.

Later, the Governor met with Mr Zhao Chenxin, Vice Chair, National Development Reform Commission, and afterwards, with Mr Richeng Luan, President, China Oil and Foodstuffs Corporation (COFCO).

Afterwards, the Governor met with Mr Ma Zhaoxu, Executive Vice Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In the evening, the Governor departed Beijing for Guangzhou.
