On Thursday morning, Her Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Afterwards, at Modbury, the Governor and Mr Bunten visited Modbury High School, where they spoke to students and staff, and received a briefing on the school’s Science and Technology Education Leveraging Relevance (STELP) program.

In the afternoon, at Mitcham, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Bunten, addressed the guests at the officially opening of upgrades to The Cottage Homes Mitcham site, and unveiled a plaque recognising the outstanding contribution of volunteers Graham Hardy and Jock Berry.

Later, at the Adelaide Town Hall, the Governor addressed the gathering and, together with Mr Bunten, presented awards at the Channel 7 Children’s Research Foundation annual awards event. The Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons of the Foundation.

In the evening, at the National Wine Centre of Australia, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Bunten, addressed the gathering the at the 2025 Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering Awards Gala Dinner.
