On Thursday morning, Her Excellency the Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Afterwards, at Avenues College, the Governor and Mr Bunten viewed the Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) students’ Civics and Citizenship presentation and addressed and took questions from students and staff.

In the afternoon, the Governor and Mr Bunten held a luncheon for representatives of North Terrace Cultural Institutions. Afterwards, the Governor received Mr Mark Roderick, Chair - Board of Governors; Mr David McKee AO, Chair - Helpmann Academy Foundation Board; and Ms Jane MacFarlane, Chief Executive Officer, Helpmann Academy.

Later, the Governor received Ms Taimi Allan, Commissioner, South Australian Mental Health Commission.

Afterwards, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a reception to thank supporters and volunteers of Australia Day Council of South Australia. The Governor is patron of the Council.

In the evening, at the InterContinental Adelaide, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended the official launch of the Adelaide Jazz Club’s ‘New Home at Waves @ the InterContinental’.
