On Tuesday morning Her Excellency the Governor departed for a Vice Regal visit to the south‑east of the state, where at the Mount Gambier Civic Centre she met with Mrs Lynette Martin OAM, Mayor, and Ms Sarah Philpott, Chief Executive Officer, City of Mount Gambier, councillors and General Managers, and was briefed on current issues and projects in the Mount Gambier Region.

Afterwards at the Uniting Church, the Governor viewed the Mayor's Christmas Appeal preparations and engaged with Uniting Care and other agencies, followed by a tour of the Boandik Lodge wellness centre where she met with community members in residence.

Later the Governor undertook a driving tour of the Blue Lake and Crater Lake Area and a drive past Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre, followed by a visit to the Ryder-Cheshire Mount Gambier Homes and met with residents.

In the afternoon at the Mount Gambier City Hall, the Governor attended a lunch hosted by the City of Mount Gambier with various community organisations, followed by a meeting with Mr Richard Sage, Mayor of the District Council of Grant.

Afterwards the Governor visited Timberlink Australia at Tarpeena and was briefed on the mills operations and company's history, followed by a visit to the Benara Homestead and where she viewed the station and gardens.

Later at the Port MacDonnell Community Complex, the Governor attended an afternoon tea hosted by the District Council of Grant with various community organisations.

In the evening the Governor toured the Fergusons Crayfish Factory, followed by a driving tour of the region, including the southernmost point of Australia, Ewens Ponds and the Mount Gambier & Districts Saleyards in Glenburnie.

Afterwards at The Barn Steakhouse. Mount Gambier, the Governor attended a dinner hosted by the District Council of Grant.

Also in the morning at Government House, Mr Bunten received Mr Bruce Djité, Chief Executive Officer - Committee for Adelaide.

In the evening at the Adelaide Oval, Mr Bunten attended the South Australian Cricket Association’s Members' Test Match Dinner.
