On Tuesday morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Governor received Ms Emma Terry Chief Executive, South Australian Tourism Commission; Mr Nick Jones, Executive Director, Destination Development, South Australian Tourism Commission; Mr Brenton Cox, Managing Director, Adelaide Airport Limited; Mr Dermot O’Neill, Executive General Manager, People, Culture & Customer Adelaide Airport Limited; and Mr Taliessin Reaburn, Director, International, Department of State Development.
Afterwards, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a luncheon for organisations to exchange perspectives on homelessness. Guests were Mr David O'Loughlin, Board Chair, The Cottage Homes Inc; Ms Marie-Louise MacDonald, Chairperson, Zahra Foundation; Mr Tim Ryan, President, Adelaide Benevolent Society Inc; Ms Julie Duncan, Director, Catherine House Inc; Ms Carolyn Mclnarlin, General Manager Wellbeing, Hutt Street Centre; Mrs Val Smyth PSM, Vice Patron, Red Cross South Australia; Ms Kate McGarry, General Manager, Baptist Care SA; Mr Ian Cox AM, Head of Homelessness, Children, Youth and Families, Anglicare SA; Ms Kim Herbert, State Manager for Homelessness South Australia, The Salvation Army; Ms Joyce Van der Samn, Coordinator, Adelaide Day Centre for Homeless Persons; and Mr Brad Hocking, Member, St Vincent de Paul Housing Strategy Group. The Governor and Mr Bunten are joint patrons of The Cottage Homes Inc. The Governor is patron of the Zahra Foundation, the Adelaide Benevolent Society, Catherine House, Hutt Street Centre, and Red Cross South Australia.
Later, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a reception for supporters of the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute.
In the evening, at the Adelaide Town Hall, the Governor and Mr Bunten attended a performance by Abel Selaocoe and the Australian Chamber Orchestra.
