On Tuesday, Her Excellency the Governor and Mr Bunten continued their official visit to Aṉangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY Lands), where, in the morning, at Pintji Enclosure, they participated in the Warru Black Footed Rock Wallaby release project.
Afterwards, at Pukatja, the Governor and Mr Bunten visited Ernabella Aṉangu School, where they met Ms Sharon Diglio, Acting Principal; Ms Trish Jenner, Bilingual School Coordinator; Ms Eva Wells, Aṉangu Coordinator; and Casey Colin-Kenny, Aṉangu Coordinator; toured the school and had lunch with staff, students, and families, before departing for Mimili.
In the afternoon, at the Mimili Store, the Governor and Mr Bunten, accompanied by Mr Neil Collins, and Mr Mark Greenshields, APY Land Management Rangers, met Mr Zibeon Fielding and Ms Julianne Campbell of the APY Executive Board – Mimili, and Mr Chris Dodd and Mr Mark Campbell, SA Voice to Parliament Representatives, followed by a group visit to Victory Well.
Later, at the PYKu Office, Mimili, the Governor and Mr Bunten hosted a community gathering and barbeque dinner for members of the Mimili community. Guests included The Honourable Nat Cook MP, Minister for Human Services, and Seniors and Ageing Well; Mr Dale Agius, Commissioner for Aboriginal Children and Young People; Ngaanyatjarra Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (NPY) Women’s Council representatives, and service providers.
